What is bilingual education? How does it develop in the Brazilian context? What are the possibilities for curricular structure?In addition to these issues, this course will discuss the concepts of bilingualism, bilingual education, bilingual school and the different modalities in which they manifest themselves.
General course objectives:
– Understand the Brazilian sociolinguistic scenario and the different proposals for bilingual education developed based on it.
– Discuss the notion of Bilingual Education and bilingual subject.
– Know different related models and curricular structures of bilingual education.

Trainer Teachers:
- Camila Dias has a degree in Literature from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a master’s degree from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in the field of Applied Linguistics. With experience as a teacher for more than 15 years, she is currently an English teacher at Colégio Santa Cruz and a teacher on the Postgraduate course “Bilingual Education: challenges and possibilities” at Instituto Singularidades. Member of GEEB (Study Group on Bilingual Education) at PUC, his research areas are bilingual education, orality, multiliteracies and childhood.
- Antonieta Megale has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Master in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-SP). Pedagogue. Bachelor in Social Communication. Coordinator and Professor of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate course at Instituto Singularidades “Bilingual Education: challenges and possibilities”, since 2011. Coordinator of Extension Courses at Instituto Singularidades, since 2017. She has experience in Basic Education as Pedagogical Coordinator of the Language area English. She has experience as a pedagogical advisor for bilingual and regular schools and in the area of developing and reviewing English language teaching materials for Basic Education. General objectives of the course: Can Neuroscience collaborate with teaching practices in the classroom? Yes and a lot! This is because one of the areas of knowledge most favored by advances in studies on the nervous system is exactly education. Increasingly, researchers link the discoveries of this scientific field with pedagogical practice, which can result in a new perspective on the way of teaching and understanding the teaching-learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to train education professionals in this area of study, which can become an important tool in the classroom.

Training Teacher: Elizabeth Sanada has a degree in Pedagogy from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (2017), a degree in Psychology from Centro Universitário das Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (1997), a master’s degree in School Psychology and Human Development from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a doctorate in School Psychology and Human Development from the University of São Paulo (2006). She is currently coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Psychopedagogy at Instituto Singularidades, member of the structuring teaching nucleus and professor at Instituto Singularidades.
Methodologies and strategies for active learning.

General objectives of the course: The course aims to offer active learning workshops, dialoguing with national and international theoretical references that support such practices. Throughout the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to understand and reflect on the main aspects that make up such methodologies and strategies, being able to give them a new meaning in their educational contexts.
Digital technologies, as means to make learning experiences more connected with the development of skills for the 21st century, will be approached in an integrated way, offering participants a wealth of pedagogical and technological repertoire.
Target audience: elementary, secondary and university teachers.
Teacher Trainer: Julci Rocha has a master’s degree in Education: Curriculum from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-SP), a postgraduate degree in educational management, educational design and innovative education. Graduated in Literature from the University of São Paulo (USP). She has worked in initial and continuing education training since 2008. She has experience in consultancy and management of innovative programs in public and private networks, involving curricular innovation, active methodologies, maker culture, multiliteracies and integration of digital technologies into pedagogical practices. She worked as a consultant and manager of innovative projects at important institutions such as Instituto Paulo Freire, Fundação Lemann and Microsoft. She is a consultant at the Innovation Center for Brazilian Education (CIEB), author of teaching material focusing on active methodologies for the Santillana Group (Sistema UNOi), postgraduate teacher and Founder of Resenho Educacional.
